"This is a very livable, low-maintenance place." says Sandy. "The kids can run through the house all wet from the pool and nothing can get ruined."

Bulgarian limestone flooring, sturdy berber carpeting, dark wood on doors and around windows, and hand-plastered, hand-colored interior walls help mask the inevitable footprints and fingerprints of an active family. Neutral colors throughout establish an "earthy, relaxed feel," says Sandy. "There's enough going on with the details of the house that we didn't need to use a lot of color."

Hand-carved corbels on the master bedroom ceiling were based on a prototype Randy made. The bed is tucked into a niche described by Sandy as a "Spanish flower." This insignia appears in some form or another in most of Randy's projects.
