Scottsdale Custom Homes by Randy Cozens

Some might call him the ultimate do-it-yourselfer; others a modern-day Renaissance man. He's a former pro football player, an artist, a dad, a husband, and founder of Custom Homes by Randy Cozens and R.C. Construction. He's also the owner of the comfortable Tuscan-style house featured on these pages. "Randy has accomplished all that he has because he's creative, honest and has a lot of energy," says his wife, Sandy. "He's a take- charge person who likes to run his own show. At the same time, he's very modest. He likes his work to speak for itself."

In this case, his work is the 6,500-square-foot house in Scottsdale that Randy, Sandy, their two small children and his two teen-age sons moved into last year. The residence, described by the couple as "European with a little Southwest and a little Spanish," was designed for easy family living and casual entertaining.
