The Cozens installed Bulgarian limestone floors, reminiscent of Sandy's roots in Croatia. The 100 handcarved cantera stone columns with cultured stone detail that can be found throughout the house add a timeless quality to the design.

The kitchen features an 18-foot curving granite countertop, and the two wet bars (one adjacent to the kitchen, one in a billiards nook) have beer and soda on tap. The home theater boasts plush leather tilt back chairs and upholstered decor. The TV is usually tuned to Nickelodeon, the choice of the Cozens' three young children.

Handcarved corbels and 24-foot beams finish the ceilings in the kitchen, family room and bar. The draperies are made from velvet and silk imported from Italy, and all the golden tones in the house remind the Cozens that the desert is just outside. Although the house sits in a gated community, none of the views are obstructed by other houses. All you see is the land-and the distance.

Above the long, rounded dining room table made of heavy mesquite is a domed ceiling niche with a painting reminiscent of Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel. While the powder room is elegant in its upholstered walls and gold-plated sink, their daughter Mimi's bedroom adds a touch of fun with a fantastic mosaic detail in pinks and purples on the headboard, dresser and bathroom vanity.
