It took all of Randy's skill to make this his dream home. After a devastating injury ended his career with the Denver Broncos, he apprenticed with a builder in the Valley. Today, Randy creates impressive projects by hand - he does not use computer-assisted design to map out the homes he will build. It is all done in a tiny office on the bottom floor of his home. "He was always very artistic," Sandy says. As a child, he wanted to be an art teacher and a football coach. He loved working with his hands and being creative. In 1986, he created Custom Homes by Randy Cozens. “A native of the Valley, he always appreciated the natural textures of the desert and wanted to incorporate that into building into the mountainside, capturing views of sunsets,” Sandy says. Randy did much of the work on the house himself, including the stucco, plaster and laying of the pool's boulders. "I love that very old process;" says Sandy. "I wanted a house that had authentic plaster, a timeless house, Old World yet not. I wanted modern conveniences and the view of being mountainside. < Previous -1 2 3 4 5 - Next >
